Welcome! I’m Stacey.
My name is Stacey Ostrin and I am board certified in Family Medicine with added Qualifications in Sports Medicine. I am currently training to become a Certified Life Coach through Martha Beck’s Wayfinder Life Coach Training program, and will be finishing this program early this summer.
My goal is to help other Women Physicians who have chosen to become Stay-At-Home-Mom’s, thrive in that role. I also want to help other Women Physician Mother’s who are struggling with work/life balance and want to stay in medicine, develop tools to help them be successful in their roles as physicians and mothers.
About Me
Six years ago, I stepped away from clinical medicine to be a Stay-At-Home-Mom (SAHM). There were a multitude of reasons that led me to that decision, but the biggest reason was that I wanted to be at home with my daughters. It was never the path I intended at the start, but I can now confidently say that it was the right decision for me and my family.
At first I felt like a bit of a unicorn being a SAHM, MD. Yet as time went on, I realized I am not alone in this journey. There are many others out there like me, who have adjusted their path. I also learned that this is just one season of my life. My mother once told me, “no one can take an education away from you”. I have learned that I want to use my education in a slightly different way. I also want to show my daughters there is more than one trail that we can take that still leads us forward.
